Meet Your Alliance Annual Meeting Blogger

The countdown has begun and we’re only a few weeks away from the 2012 Annual Meeting in New Orleans. I’m thrilled to announce that we’ve enlisted the help of one of our members to report “live” on the meeting via social media… so whether or not you’re attending the meeting in person, you’ll be able to stay informed on what’s taking place during the conference.

Let me introduce to you, Erik Evans from the Sons of Norway… take it away, Erik…

Erik Evans, Communications Manager, Sons of Norway

Thanks, Joe! It’s a pleasure to be a guest on your blog. As Joe mentioned, my name is Erik Evans and I have been working in the fraternal industry for more than 12 years, much of that time spent as the Communications Manager for Minneapolis-based Sons of Norway. I advise executives and board members on communications issues and, for the past four years, have been a leading force behind Sons of Norway’s successful social media endeavors.

I’m very excited to be part of this year’s American Fraternal Alliance Annual Meeting! When the Alliance first asked me to participate, I jumped at the chance to help out, because it’s the very definition of fraternalism.

I’m really looking forward to attending this year’s event and meeting fraternalists from around the country. Even more, can’t wait to share all the excitement and special moments of the Annual Meeting with Alliance members in attendance, as well as those who weren’t able to join us this year.

Be sure to keep an eye on the Alliance’s Facebook page, Twitter feed and this Blog to see all the great things happening this year!
