Engaging Through Education: Not a One Size Fits All Proposition – by Jeff Mitchell

While Joe is away I am going to take a shot at filling his (admittedly rather large) blogging shoes by taking a look at an exciting offering that contributes to one of the Alliance’s mission critical areas. Our Mission Statement and Shared Values mandate that we provide members meaningful education, information, networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities. Whether the medium is a webinar, a Mid-Year Meeting presented by one of our sections or an Annual Meeting workshop on a cutting edge topic, we take the job of providing members the finest quality professional education programs very seriously.

Over the past year, hundreds of member society executives took advantage of educational opportunities offered by the Alliance. But for every executive that took advantage of these offerings, we know there are hundreds more that could not attend. We want all of our member societies to understand that whether scheduling conflict, heavy workloads, society budgets or other reasons prevent members of your team from attending a face-to-face workshop or meeting, that the Alliance staff remains dedicated to providing you with opportunities to learn new concepts and understand new requirements in our ever changing business environment. That’s why the Alliance continues to increase its commitment to new technologies and media to make sure that we leave no stone unturned in developing the fraternal leaders of tomorrow.

One of the best educational venues available for our member societies is the American Fraternal Alliance  Online Learning Center. We have continuously improved the user experience for this resource which gives members access to workshops and presentations that you may have missed or would like to share with others at your society.

By purchasing a workshop, your society will have unlimited access to your selected videotaped event which is available on demand.  You and your team can play these sessions at any time through our Online Learning Center which is “open” 24 hours a day.

PrintIn order to make this resource an even better value, we’re pleased to introduce the brand new online education All Access Pass. This program allows you access to ALL the following content for one low price of $325. The content will feature:

    • All 2013 Annual Meeting Workshops
    • All 2012 Annual Meeting Workshops
    • All 2012 Board Institute Sessions (not Boot Camps)
    • Consumer Research Findings Presentation
    • Video: The Power of the Fraternal Benefit System

While all sessions are available for purchase on an individual basis, the All Access Pass provides the greatest value.  A variety of subjects are addressed that will appeal to CEOs, CIOs, Communication Directors, Marketing and Sales personnel and many more levels of fraternal employees. Check out all the offerings by clicking here.

As I mentioned in the title of this blog, we know that providing education and training for your team requires us to be nimble and provide our societies with many options and opportunities to learn. Let us know how we are doing and what you would like to see in the future. Please stay in touch and let us know how we can serve you better.

    1. Hi Joe. just a few thoughts.

The only way this will work is two fold a high level of energy video presentation that is offered to a virtual group that then comes together to talk about the subject. I call it a Coaching, Learning, and Drinking Society Show

Another Idea. One of my colleagues here in Tucson has put together one of the best online conference platforms in the country. They can take any subject or conference and make it a world wide high energy virtual conference with interactivity if desired. it is all high level HD very sophisticated productions. They are good friends of mine and if you would like to know more let’s talk.

      All the best,

      Stan
